Accessible websites:
Inclusive web design for all user groups

In a digitally connected world, it is essential that websites are accessible to everyone — regardless of individual restrictions. I develop solutions for barrier-free web design that both comply with WCAG guidelines and ensure a high level of usability

The problem

Many websites are not barrier-free

People with permanent or short-term disabilities often encounter obstacles: lack of keyboard navigation, inadequate screen reader compatibility, or hard-to-read content. These barriers restrict usage and can sometimes even have legal consequences.

My solution

Accessible websites in accordance with WCAG guidelines

I make your website barrier-free and accessible to everyone. That means:

  • Semantic HTML and alt texts
  • Optimized colors and contrasts
  • Screen reader compatibility
  • keyboard navigation
  • WCAG 2.2 testing to ensure compliance with standards
The why

Why barrier-free websites are important

  • Legal security: Avoid warnings through legally compliant accessibility.
  • Better SEO: Accessibility results in better search engine rankings.
  • Expanded audience: Reach more people, including people with disabilities.
  • Stronger image: Show that you promote inclusion and responsibility.

The new accessibility law from 01.06.2025 — Are you prepared?

From June 1, 2025, a new law will come into force that obliges companies to make their websites barrier-free. The law is based on the EU Directive on barrier-free access to websites and mobile applications of public bodies and affects all website operators who offer services online. The aim is to ensure that people with disabilities have full access to digital content.

Not every website is directly affected by the new accessibility legislation. With my test calculator, you can quickly and easily find out whether you need to meet the requirements.

What does that mean for you?

The law requires companies and organizations to design their websites in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). These guidelines ensure that websites are accessible to all user groups, regardless of physical limitations. You must ensure that your website is barrier-free to comply with legal requirements and avoid legal consequences.

What are the penalties for violations?

Companies that do not comply with accessibility requirements face severe penalties. The law provides for fines, which may be significant depending on the nature and seriousness of the infringement. In addition, there may be warnings that are not only financially damaging but also damaging to reputation.
